Making optimum use of resources – reducing waste
Besides the ecological aspect, resource efficiency and optimised waste management mean lower costs for the company. We have already implemented the following projects and measures, and more are planned.
We are reducing our energy consumption
- We have converted all our lighting systems throughout over 4,000 m2 of office and hall space to LEDs.
- All the offices and changing rooms are heated and provided with hot water by a compressed air system with heat exchangers.
All our materials are recyclable
We only use high-grade, recyclable materials for our products. In this way, we ensure that valuable resources can be reused and waste can be made available to production systems again as secondary raw materials. In this way, we follow the cradle-to-cradle approach.
Accepting responsibility for mankind and the environment
- The zinc plating of our products does not contain any chromium, which is one of the reasons why we are allowed to distribute them in California without special labelling, even under the particularly strict California Proposition 65 regulation.
- We use oil-free cooling lubricant without any hazardous substances for our machines.
Our waste disposal system is in line with DIN EN ISO 14001
Our waste management system meets all the requirements that our DIN ISO 14001 certification places on environmental management. We strictly separate waste and scrap. This keeps negative environmental impact to a minimum.
We use green electricity
We obtain 100% of our electricity from renewable energy sources and are thus making our contribution to the energy transition.
We frequently have our sustainability assessed transparently
The EcoVadis sustainability ranking assesses companies on the basis of their environmental and social practices. EcoVadis reviews categories such as environmental impact, working conditions, ethics and sustainable procurement. Companies receive points based on their performance in these areas.
